Florentine Kitchen Knives booth at MAISON&OBJET

Florentine Kitchen Knives specializes in designing and manufacturing of custom kitchen tools for chefs and restaurants, as well as their own line of kitchen knives made in yearly editions. FKK was founded in 2012 by product designer Tomer Botner.
Over the 5 years this brand exists, I got to design for them several handmade cases, wall magnets and a booth in MAISON&OBJET.

MAISON&OBJET booth, September 2016
I designed FKK’s booth as an abstract kitchen made of MDF. The L structured layout invited visitors to take a close look at the products inside the booth and gave the brand’s team an opportunity to pitch about them. The kitchen island and bar stools served as a meeting place for sitting down with potential clients. Every knife had its spot by carving the handle’s shape out from the surface and relevant information regarding the blade was printed next to every knife.

Working with MDF all over the entire booth, contrasted the large material variety in the Florentine Kitchen Knives’ collection and brought the products to focus. By covering the booth in a warm material and with a minimalist approach helped in distinguishing the brand from its neighbours, offering a silent alternative to overwhelming booths, usually found at this type of fairs.
