Swedish clothing label Cheap Monday’s store in Tel Aviv was meant to last only ten days as a pop-up. When Belle & Sue, the label’s Israeli representative, brought this idea- it was only 14 days before the opening.
Our mission was to design and build the entire space. Given the short timeline, we decided to fill the store with 34 pieces of freestanding furniture that could be made rapidly in our workshop and be delivered in a timely manner. Moving everything away from the walls was more efficient than customizing the elements to fit the niches. We developed a structural language in OSD panels that could be quickly applyed to different pieces (tables, racks, front desk, fitting rooms and so on).
At the end of the day, the store was a big success and Belle & Sue made it their permanent home. The design lasted a year instead of 10 days.
